I am making a wedding video for a friend. They want subititles in Japanese for a video sequence with a song the wrote. (The titles are the lyrics)

I have never had to put in subtitles. I know I can do it manually in DVD Studio Pro, but I would prefer to use the text file given to me. I already made a txt version with timecode and other needed things, but DVDSP won't read it.

Any suggestions? Is there a good piece of software that can convert txt to srt or sub? I tried titlelab but it didn't do crap. Click "add" and nothing happened. Tried to "export to DVD Studio Pro" and nothing happened. It wouln't even save the file.

Help!!!!
