OK so I bought a DVD (Bill Sollis Ultimate Mini Build) that I need to play in my workshop on my MacBook. The DVD however would not play on my old MacBook Mid 2008, so I went to play it in my newer mid 2015 MacBook Pro and then remembered it does not have a DVD Drive DOH!!

So in the end I put it into my old iMac and low and behold it played.

In order to play it in my garage I decided to convert the DVD to digital format that I could transfer using a USB stick. I had to download Mac The Ripper and ripped the DVD (its mine so I presumed that this was OK).

There were no options to rip to mp4 so it just ripped it to VOB and TS.

Is there a way of converting these DVD format files to mp4 and play in something like VLC?

Many thanks

I managed to do this with an older version of Handbrake (The iMac that the DVD files were on needs updating).
