My wife ordered her first Mac ever. She has been a PC user her whole life. She ordered a MBA Gold 8/512. She is very excited for it to come. Just had to share... her Dell G5 will become my sons.
Congratulations to her. After an initial learning curve she should be much happier. I found David Pogue’s book “Switching to the Mac” to very very helpful in making the transition. Doesn’t look like the book has been updated in a few years though.

she could re-key the commands, other than that there is no significant difference*
i use both windows 10 and Mojave and the commands are the most tricky things.
the other *aspects which i will get "reamed" over are just basic computing.
she might get frustrated over the incased ecosystem apple has,
but be relieved over the ease and set up OS comes on their systems.
Congrats to her. First thing to do after initial setup, is to educate her on the importance of regularly backing up her Mac. Make sure she is properly configured. After that, get a good adblocker.
Well we have an extensive Apple EcoSystem, we all have iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Apple TV. I have my M1, she will soon have hers. I grew up on Apple. My father owned an Apple VAR from 1985 till he passed in 2013.
