I tried converting a 2h mpeg video file to apple tv format in toast and handbrake.

after the conversion the length of the video is only 1h 40min.

I dont really know what to do now. any ideas why that is happening?

thanks

Can you be more specific on what the original file uses as codec (MPEG-2) and container (.vob, .avi, .mpg, ...) and what settings you used in Toast and Handbrake?

its mpeg2 and a mpeg file.

in toast and handbrake i used the standard apple tv settings.

i used streamclip now with apples mpeg2 codec to convert it to mov.
that worked for me now, but still strange why i couldnt convert it in handbrake in the first place.

but why cant handbrake do the job? why is my video after the conversion 20mins short. very strange.

Also, my second mpeg file I converted in streamclip, crashed the app.

i will try the software you suggested. thanks
