Converting 4k footage to 1080p to send via email?

I recently started shooting all videos at 4k and they are too large to send via email and mail drop never seems to work. Is there a way to export a clip ad 1080p just for sending as an attachment or for mail drop?

Just import into iMovie then use the Share option to export as 1080p video.
