Converting a quicktime video to edit in imovie

Hi,

I recorded a video on my iphone but it was so big that I couldn't email it to myself like I normally do. I plugged my phone into the imac and imported it but now its a quicktime video and I can't edit it in imovie. I found a quicktime converter but it shortened my 16 min video to 5 mins. Any suggestions?

What's the problem? You should be able to import it into iMovie without a problem. Which version of iMovie are you using?

You can also edit it with Quicktime, using the the Trim function in the Edit Menu.
