converting avi to dvd

how would convert a avi video file to dvd without using ffmpegx becuase it takes too long is there any other software which you can use

if u have an avi and a dvd burner, u can just drag the avi into imovie and then burn w/ idvd

If you use Toast 6 or 7, you can burn DVD's out of AVI files
