Converting BDMV's/best way to rip Blu-Ray - Read through TONS of threads

I've been using Mac BlurayRipper Pro for ripping my Blu-Ray's. It outputs all data into a BDMV folder. I've read all the forums here and elsewhere and most recommend MakeMKV and/or Handbrake (have both).

I've read through tons of threads and my head hurts. I gather Handbrake is the best for ripping Blu-Ray/SD DVD's?

Any thoughts/recommendations? Thanks! :)
