converting iphone 5 video

Does anyone reccomend a decent program that will easily take iphone 5 video MOV Format and convert it into a diff format like mp4, and keep the quality and smaller file size?
I tried AVS converter and all it did was convert to an AVI and made the video
look horrible. thanks!
