Converting M2TS video files.

I have a M2TS video file and i need it in a MPEG 4 format.
Any searches on google turn up the same garbage software that i have to pay 40$ for. like i'm going to pay 40$ for some idiots crappy software.

any suggestions for a FREE video converter would be greatly appreciated.

also the video is 1080P HD in case you need to know that.

Have you tried Handbrake yet?

For M2TS I would say MPEGStreamClip or AnyVideoConverter.

Either, or both of these, may require the MPEGQuicktimeCodec from apple ($20), but not sure.

The Apps are freeware, so give them a try.
