Converting .MOV problems

So whenever I try to convert(or upload as well) my short movie that I made in Final Cut, it comes out as a one second video with a bunch of multicolored fuzz stuff with a weird sound. I can't seem for the life of me to figure out what's going on?

What format are you trying to convert to and from, and what are you using to convert?

I tried Handbreak, MiroVideoConverter, ad AnyVideoConverter. And I'm trying to convert them to .wmv or .avi and neither of them work. I have to export to AVI from Final Cut Pro and the quality is lessened.

For .wmv, you'll need Flip4mac. MPEGStreamclip should manage the rest.
