Does anyone know of an application that will let me convert a .MP4 file into a .3GP file so I can put it on my Sony Ericsson W550i. I tried just sending the .MP4 to it because I thought it would work but it just saved it as a sound. Thanks.

BTW. I had a look at my QuickTime Pro exporting and it didn't mention converting to 3gp lmao.

ffmpegX converts loads of different types of video - don't know about .3GP. might be worth googleing it.

thanks sunfast. last thing now. do you or anyone else know how to strip just the audio from a file such as a .MP4 so I can use the music on it's own? thanks.

You can do it in QT Pro. From iMovie there's an option to send it via Bluetooth which will save it as a 3gp

From inside QT Pro, you might have to muck around with the Expert Settings but it will do it.

QT Pro will handle the audio only too but can't explain how since I'm not on my Mac at the mo.
