I just converted a bunch of videos in iSquint, to iPod format.

I added them to iTunes, and deleted the originals, but I have one small problem. The videos ONLY play in iTunes. Finder shows only audio, quicktime can't read video, not even front row can read video.

Was there a setting I missed? I don't understand how the video and audio works well on iTunes, but not with anything else.

Anyone else ever have that happen?

I figured it out. If anyone else notices video not working on converted files, or that they ONLY play in iTunes -- make sure "H.264 Encoding" is checked.

I re-converted an mp4 file to mp4 with H.264 encoding, and now finder can load the video, as well as Front Row.

I noticed the "H.264" in things like EyeTV, and Handbrake, and figured it must be what I was missing -- and it was.
