Can I convert M4P videos to MP4 format? So far I had either audio problems and video problems doing this.

What are you doing now to convert them. Plus, I don't know if the content can be converted since M4P is purchased content and is locked in with DRM. Apple had to lock down purchased content for the content providers so that people couldn't file share them. If the DRM could easily be converted into another format then it would be pointless to put DRM on it. So a guess might be that you probably wont be able to do this unless you go from M4P, to an analog source, back to digital and loose the quality.

THe videos are one that I made. I have videos of my high school track team and edited them in iMovie. When i exported the videos, I chose m4p video format. After burning these video on a DVD, I was left with glitchy and distorted video content. I have tried many methods of converting these videos, but I have had either audio skipping problems and/or the video glitches.

I have used these apps to attempt correct conversions:
EasyWMV
QuickTime Pro
MPEG StreamClip
iMovie
VLC

Do you still have the original iMovie that you used to create the full movie and do the clips play alright in iMovie? No skipping or jumping in the video play back or distortion? I would try iMovies expert export settings and make a mov file. See if the mov file has skipping in it also.

What was the original video recorded with, which kind of camera?
