Converting wmv. to .dv ????ANYONE???? or to dvd

Alright I have a G4 iBook and I would like to convert some funny videos I have to a dvd I have a external dvd burner but I can't find any way to convert and windows meda to any other format???
I have tried cleaner 6, VLC will not export, quicktime will not read it, Windows media player will not export.
ANY IDEA'S WOULD HELP

Maybe try FFMPEG, on http://www.versiontracker.com/ or find a friend with a PC...
