Probably known, but I never heard of it.

In pages (possibly word, I haven't tried), if you press 'esc', after typing in a few letters, it gives you a list of the possible words from then on. It prioritizes words already used bby you in that document, even if those words aren't in the dictionary.

Its a tip on Apples tip of the week page. It works in most apps apparently ;)
 
That is a cool trick, thanks :) and no, it does not work in word. I still can't switch from word for documents because of NOTEBOOK LAYOUT. This is the greatest feature of word. I wish pages had it too. :(


it works in stickies and mail too.
 
And this just "happens" to be on the same day my MagSafe breaks, leaving me without my laptop and OS X. Perfect. :rolleyes:
