Have ibrik, will travel.
Just wanted to pass along a heads up about two cool tools I came across: the first, a refreshingly flexible and useful audio-messaging tool reviewed by the NY Times ("Free Services to Inspire Your Cellphone", http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/23/t...70&en=39d9699edd4d3939&ex=1164949200&emc=eta1) ; the second, an app for exporting one's Mac Address book into numerous formats without the usual hassles.

1) http://www.pinger.com/index.php

A brilliant combination of cellfone and internet technology: check out Pinger.com for a great new way to communicate and link up with both your social and business/professional networks. The NY Times wrote Pinger.com up recently as one of the hot new ways to amp up your cellphone/e-mail/messaging capabilities, and while Pinger is in Beta mode, it's free. I subscribed Thanksgiving day (yesterday, remember?) and already I've used it twenty or so times to contact clients, colleagues, et al., to painlessly and unobtrusively confirm their participation in a large special event we're producing next week. Pinger works with ANY celfone network, any celfone, any computer platform. (*_*)

2) Export tool for Mac Address Book, especially useful for uploading your contacts your way to webmail servers:

Gee, I love smart, easy stuff :D

Oy, something I forgot

If you use MySpace to message friends/family or to post bulletins for your band, group, theatre, etc., the Pinger.com technology allows you to effortlessly do this by dialing a single number from your celfone. Also, Pinger has posted a funny demo at YouTube to show how easily the system works with your computer and celfone.
