Swapped out my '09 13" MBP for the new 2.4 ghz model. Swapped out my 120 GB SSD and got everything up and running....except CoolBook.

After having to BUY another license, I finally got it installed. However...

After activating, all the default values show "0" for frequency. When I remove them, I can not even click on the drop downs to set my own. If I click "set" it just removes the settings. Everything I do causes it to show "0" for frequency. It have verified it is not working, so it's not a false positive.

Anyone else run into these issues with 2.17 and the new 13" MBP?

I should also mention that the results of kextstat | grep cool are blank/nothing.

Does this mean the driver is somehow not installed?

Tried several uninstalls/reboots/reinstalls - can't seem to get any different results.

Anyway to manually check the drive installation?

Sometimes when the hardware is updated, it breaks functionality with previous software. Just wait for a new update for CB.

I have sent a note to Magnus about it and I'll await his response. I did load a backup image that had 2.16 for comparison sake - same issue. It's as if the driver is not loading. It is definitely not working.

Update..

Magnus reply to me try to use attach file but he not attact anything to me
try to contact him.

So either you cant find the file or he didnt send the file.

I sent him an email before for my new 13" and got a working beta attached.

I would think if you buy his software, which I have in the past, if it didnt work out of the box on your machine, he would have no choice but to refund your 10$.

Let him mess with beta's, if it doesnt work, neither does my money :)

I have also installed it on my i7, and of course, all 0's. It just needs an update.

Has anyone gotten version 2.18 to work on their 2010 13" MacBook Pros? With CoolBook activated and throttling set in battery power, and all voltages lowered by 0.005V for each CPU frequency, the "Info" field still indicates default voltages being applied. CoolBook worked fine on my 2008 aluminum MacBook but I've not had any luck with the newest 13" model.

Works for me, though I only set it at 2.4ghz @ 1v instead of 1.2v or whatever the default is. Sometimes it does forget it's setting so I have to apply it again, but it's rare that it does that.
