ok so heres the deal i just upgraded to 10.6.2 and now coolbook isnt working but when i go and test the settings its adjusting the clocks and voltages as i specified but when the test is done it goes back to normal. i have tried uninstalling and resetting the pram and smc, and repairing permissions then reinstalling hoping that something would work i even went in and deleted the kext but it doesnt. anyone else having the same problem with 10.6.2? and anyone know how often coolbook is updated hopefully we get a fix to this soon.

I had the same problem, ultimately had to go into safemode and remove the kexts and every other thing associated with Coolbook. I think it's just not compatible at the moment with 10.6.2. Have to wait for an update.

Ok so i emailed coolbook support and i got a reply.

Dear CoolBook user,

I'm getting a lot of questions regarding the 10.6.2 update. Here is some information about it.

The current SL CoolBook beta does not work with OS X 10.6.2.
I will release a fixed version later this week.

Your current CoolBook installation does not interfere with OS X, so you don't have to uninstall it. Turn off throttling to disable CoolBook completely until the update is released.

The dialog window about the update is a bug. No update was performed.

A working uninstaller will of course be included in the next release.
Do not use any third party uninstallers. If you need to manually uninstall CoolBook, let me know so I can help you.

Best regards,

Magnus Lundholm

so there we have it hopefully he gets to it this week

Any luck?

perfectly working again :)

might it be that it's now runing Intel 32 bit again.
I had in mind that the foregoing version for 10.6 was running in 64-bit, or is my memory just weak?

Cheers, S.
