I've been considering getting a new Mac mini and finally retiring my eight year old Power Mac 2.0 GHz G5 dualie. About time huh?

I'm not 100% set on the mini, I'm also considering an i5 iMac - either a 21.5" or a 27".

Does the 21.5" run warmer than the 27"? I assume its internals are the same as the 27" but more tightly configured.

Just wondering.

The imac 21.5" have less power hungry CPU, graphic card and a smaller screen, all produce less heat than a 27”. So I’m not sure how much that factor in the overall temperature inside the case.

It's a computer, let it get hot. It isn't going to break before it shuts itself down.

My iMac (i5 2.7 27") gets plenty warm under load and I'm fine with that. I don't feel the heat in any way, either. (CPU is 62 degrees Celsius atm)

Oh I'm jealous of you guys :p...seriously...my CPU only doesn't even hit 50C under 100% load...and it annoys me...idk why...but it does...im watching youtube, Skype, bunch of things open, not doing anything...only 30C....i don't know why it annoys me...but it does...HEAT UP :D
