Hi

I have a late 2013 13" rMBP and I've gotten to know that it has only one fan unlike its predecessor. I know that the Haswell chips are meant to be more power efficient but does having one fan less make the late 2013 worse at cooling the computer compared to the late 2012? I have no experience with the late 2012 so I can't compare.

I don't have any heat problems or so and the only time it gets hot is when I game which is pretty obvious and it cools down quite quickly afterwards. I'm just curious to know if the previous version cooled better.

Thanks

You are comparing apple to oranges.

The TDP of the CPU is 28 vs 35, and the fan itself is larger, so the difference will probably be quite marginal.
