I've noticed that, when gaming under Windows, my rMBP gets considerably hotter than it does when gaming in OS X. Under OS X it never really goes above 89º, however under Windows it reports 100º+. Knowing that the computer will apparently shut down at around 105º, this is of concern to me. While I'm aware that I'm unlikely to be damaging components at these temperatures, I'm uncomfortable knowing that my laptop is so close to overheating. Aside from getting a cooling pad, how can I help run the laptop cooler in Windows? I don't understand why it's heating up so much more than it does in OS X.

Thanks!

In bootcamp, it's always using the dedicated graphics card. This partly explains the additional heat.

You can probably underclock the graphics card and cpu!
