Hello all, I'm pretty much a computer neophyte so forgive me if this is an obvious question...
I just purchased a new Intel iMac 2.66 GHz and am transferring files from my old work computers--one was also an Intel iMac and the other a PC. After copying folders from a DVD to my new machine, I need to authenticate in order to modify the folder contents.
I've checked the info on the folders (following the "get info" link) and under "general information" the Locked box is not highlighted. Unfortunately, this is the extent of my knowledge on how to address...does anyone know how I can avoid needing to authenticate every time I want to save a new file to these folders?
Thanks.
