Dear members,

Is their an app that would allow me to compress 27 gigs of iphotos and burn them to a 2.7 gig dvd? I'm looking to back up my library to dvd.

I would use something like Stuffit, but im not sure if that much could be compressed to 2.7GB

There is no way you're going to compress 27 gb into 2.7 gb using Stuffit.
If you can then I am wrong and if I am wrong I'm going to find it oddly amusing.

If I have 27 gb of photos I would not trust compressing them into 2.7 gb for sake of saving space. If you do that, I hope you back up the 27gb elsewhere, uncompressed.

I don't know of any way you can compress 27 GB of photos into 2.7, or even 4.7. As someone else pointed out, most photo formats are already compressed, so there's not much more that you can "squeeze out of them", if you will. Then again, WAV files can be compressed into a tenth of their original size, so perhaps if you're using a fully uncompressed format you can pull this off. But you're going to lose a lot of information in the photos if you're able to do this.
