iPad Copy and paste from Books app ?

I like to be able to copy and paste notes from iBooks ( now Books). This is handy for research or copying quotes into Notes app. I did have a way of doing it in iBooks but can find no way of doing it in the new Books app ! Does anyone have any ideas ?

Have you tried to copy and paste from the search field? Here're the steps (taken from solution write my essay forum):

1. Choose the text you need to copy;
2. Select Search
3. Long tap in the field;
4. Select All
5. Copy
