Copy and paste from Open Office to Terminal Sqlite

Hi,

Does anybody have an explanation about why I can't copy some numerical text from an Open Office spreadsheet to the terminal to fill up an sqlite database?

This is odd because I can copy and paste the text but not numbers from the same cell. As I've tryied to do the same from a exported pdf file (based in the same spreadsheet) and neither there is possible to copy the numbers, only the text, this an example of the content of the cell which I'm talking for:

Calle 6, entre 51 y 53 (1900) La Plata/(54–221) 429–4000.
