I’m in the process of reorganizing my photo collection. What i’m trying to do is move the files of my internal HD to an external Hd. The initial copy and paste of 66 folders worked as it should. I pasted these folders into a new/empty HD, into the root directory. The problem arose when I tried to move another 23 folders. I selected the folders and hit copy; however; when I went to paste them in the root directory of my HD that had the other 66 folders; it would not let me paste. Right clicking on the external Hd didn’t bring up the option to paste. If I opened the Hd; I was looking at the 66 folders that I had previously copied; and if I tried a right click; it would show paste; but it would have to be in one of the 66 folders. I don’t want it in a sub folder; I want it in the root of the HD.
There must be a way to do this; I just need to be pointed in the right direction!

I think that is the problem; there is no blank area to click on. If I place the curser on the right hand side where there is nothing, and right click; it automatically will highlight one of the existing folders. That is not what i want.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I should have read it more thoroughly before I posted my first reply. I changed to icon view and it worked. Thanks again.

Playing around with iPhoto; and it’s driving me crazy.
