Why won't my Mac copy and paste URL in wordpress - yet again my cheap PC will do it and the Mac 10.6 Snow Leopard won't

What do you mean it won't? I use WordPress every day and it does.

No it won't - very frustrating if you have twenty photos to load on a e commerce site

Works fine for me. Sounds like user error. You need to provide more information about the problem for anyone to help you.
