moving iTunes Library in Windows

moving iTunes library in Mac

and have been able to consolidate my XP SP2 Windows iTunes onto a USB external HD. I want to copy my MacBoook iTunes library to the external, which is formatted FAT32. Tried hooking up the external HD to the Macbook and consolidating library, but that did not add/copy the MacBook library over.

I am missing something obvious here. Do i need to partition External to a different format?

To summarize the question, how can I add/copy a Mac iTunes Library to an already consolidated iTunes Library from Windows that now resides on an external FAT32 HD?

Thx in advance!
