To all the devs and everyone that's using 3.0 how is copy & paste on the 3.0 software? Can you copy & paste on anything like the web, sms, and or attached files threw emails? Is the copy & paste sterdy are there any limits to it?

copy and paste works well... you can copy an SMS and post it in a internet text box, you can copy text from safari and paste it in another app that has a text field (twitterific for example) i haven't run into any limitations in how i use copy and paste.

So as for coping & pasting SMS MSG you only have an option to copy the SMS txt onto a Internet txt box and not the note app? And as for safari can I also use my note app?

What about having an attched word doc file on a email am I able to copy & paste that onto notes or any other app like you mention before?

It's still not 100%, example:

I'm in the facebook app and want to copy and paste someone's status message somewhere else, I cannot. I think this is more because of the app and less because of the OS, but regardless it's not going to happen. I can paste into a text box in the app, but I can't copy from within the app like I can with Safari. I haven't tested to see if all apps have this limitation, but I would guess they do.

I believe once the apps are updated to 3.0, you'll be able to do what you list above.

From my understanding (and limited use of it), C&P is truly global.

you can only copy the whole message... but you can always subtract what you do not want after you paste

just sent myself a word document and you can copy from it to past elsewhere on the phone... SMS, Notes, Safari, etc.

Sometimes it is difficult to only copy pieces of things. For example, you can't copy half a text message, only the whole thing. And whenever trying to copy things in other apps it can be very difficult to get it to select what you want. You can't seem to copy/paste iCal events. You can't copy/paste a phone number from a missed call.

I figured that it wouldn't be 100% ready as of yet but I can imagine how it will be when it's complete. :D

Yeah, I use Copy and Paste, but there is also Undo if you accidentally delete something in Notes, and Select All to delete a bunch at once (which you can then undo :p ).
