How can I transfer pics from my computer to iPhone so I can view them through the iPhone's stock photo viewer ? It would be even good if I can have different albums in my iPhone like trip 1, trip 2 etc.
I cannot do individual pics as I have like 300+ pics to copy.

I am not adamant to copy to camera roll. What I plan to do Is copy a good number of pics to the iPhone. Connect the iPhone to HDTV using RCA composite cable combined with display out jailbreak tweak so I can view those pics on my tv.

If you sync via iTunes it will transfer photos from your computer to your phone. They can end up in different Events or Albums on your phone. The exact procedure varies depending on whether you are using iPhoto on a Mac, folders on a PC etc (if you are syncing from folders on your computer nested folders will be separate albums on the phone). There are instructions for both at: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4236
