Copying a .dmg via USB card

I have a fairly large (2.6G) .dmg sitting on a Windows (XP) computer.

Is there a problem copying this straight to a USB memory card and then copying that to my Mac for mounting?

Does the fact that the .dmg has resided in the Windows file system in any way alter or degrade the .dmg? And, would there be any degradation in the .dmg as a result of the copying operation?
