Copying an iMessage thread to laptop..

SO I'm running out of space on my phone and I can't upgrade just yet...

I was wondering if anyone knew of a tool that can copy an iMessage thread to the laptop? I have two or three threads that are full of pics and videos that is hogging up space and i don't want to lose them. I can delete them from the phone after I have a copy on my laptop - I'm sure I remember somewhere someone was able to do this, but I'm not sure what program it was.

A couple of years ago I used a piece of software called imazing to something similar with messages on my wife's iPhone. I think they are still around if you google for it.

If it's just the pics and video you care about you can save them to your camera roll and export to numerous places including your computer or, my preferred spot, the cloud (or both of course)
