Versions of Excel prior to 2008 allowed one to:
(i) click on a data set in an x-y graph (chart), then
(ii) highlight and copy the resulting data source string in the text box (at the top of the window - the formula box?), then
(iii) move to another pre-existing chart and
(iv) paste the string into the text box and
(v) type return in the text box at end of string

This put the same data into the other graph. One could then easily change data source information in the text box to adjust the data displayed.

With Excel 2008 it seems not possible to do (iv) above - the box, although present, does not allow anything to be put into it after clicking an another chart

Are there any quick solutions?
