Copying files from a mounted DVD camcorder

When I try and copy the vob file from the Mounted DVD drive
I get a runtime exception -50

I have connected my VDR-D100 (not DV) using USB 2.0 and I am able to browse the files.

Surprisingly enough I can copy the file with no problems on My PC :(
I want to bin my PC so, is there anything I should be doing differently.
