I have a 300 page PDF file which I've opened in Preview. I want to copy 40 of those pages from the middle of the document, preferably to Word for Mac 2011.But I can't find any tool in Preview that allows me to copy multiple pages.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Or do a print, selecting which pages you want, say 30-70, then select save as pdf instead of the printer.
You cannot convert it to a Word Doc though you'd need other software for that.

In the thumbnails pane to the left select the first page then scroll down to the 40th page and shift click that page. That will select all 40 pages you want. Now just drag the selection to the desktop and a new PDF will be created with just the 40 pages you selected.
