I am trying to follow the procedure here to copy my iPhone backup to my new Macbook, but it appears I do not have this path:

~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/

I have Library/Application Support, but there is no MobileSync folder in the Application Support folder.

Any ideas where it or my iPhone backup may be hiding?

Thanks!

Are you looking in the
/Library/Application Support folder or the
~/Library/Application Support folder?

Are they not the same? I can only find one Library folder when searching through Finder. I also searched for MobileSync with no luck.

No, they're not the same. The tilde "~" indicates the folder for the user you're logged in as.
~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync is the same as:
/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/

Your Library folders are hidden by default in Lion and ML. To get to your /Library or /Users/yourusername/Library (also known as the ~/Library) folders in Lion and ML:
  • Launch Finder and click Go > Go to Folder and type: /Library or ~/Library
  • Hold the Option key while clicking the Go menu item, which reveals your ~/Library folder in the menu.
  • Make it permanently visible by entering the following command in Terminal, then press the Enter key:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library
  • 18 ways to view the ~/Library folder in Lion

Learning something everyday! Thank you for your help! I found the MobileSync folder by using Finder>Go>Go To Folder: ~/Library

Had a total of 3 backups and copying the more recent to a flash drive. Thank you again!
