I have been doing this with my album art scans, from my macbook pro's hard drive to an external hard drive, & noticed after a while that alot of my album covers seem to be disappearing, when I copy my new files to my hard drive, I would get a message if I want to replace files, does this mean that os replaces not only duplicate files but erases new files?
what would be the best procedure for preventing files from disappearing like this? when I scan files to my macs hard drive, I would like to move them to my external hard drive, but I want them to get updated along with previous files on my hard drive, not for them to keep getting replaced, & losing my other earlier files.
