hi

i would like to make a copy of my very valuable osx install cd on to a blank dvd would anyone be able to shed some light on how to do this i have roxio toast.

p.s

no before u judge this ! is for back-up purposes only nothing else people !!!

It will be a slow process though, so plan on having an hour+ for the computer to save the DVD to the hard drive, and then make a new DVD.

You can do that using Disk Utilities and the Finder.

On an iMac G(4)(5), and PowerBooks it might since it has a 4x DVD burner.

On a PMG5 with an 8x DVD burner that is about 14 mins to burn one DVD Optical and with the SATA HDD, about ~4 minutes to copy. :)

thanks

thanks guys i knew i could count on you guys the link looks complicated but the toast option i will give a try thanks !!!
