I've been slowly attempting to reduce my dependency on cable for a while now and have yet to find a a solution to finally cut the cord. I've got the most basic cable package and I use an AppleTV for streaming movies from my PC, and sports highlights from the ESPN app. I can get my NFL fix and Network programming from OTA antenna as well as shows for my kids. Neflix also has a nice selection of children's shows streaming. DVR I can set up with Elgato's products. There are however two channels that I cannot find an alternative for that my wife watches regularly and are keeping me tied to cable. These are HGTV and Food Network. Any suggestions on how to get the programming for those being OFF cable? Any other alternatives?
