I have tried both RDC and Cord to connect to a windows pc I have at home. I can connect fine to the PC at home if I am on the same network. However, I go on to the internet at school, or something neither software will let me. I get errors saying couldn't connect to this PC. Is it because I am not on the same network or am I doing something incorrectly? Thank you.

what IP address are you using? The one from a site such as whatsmyip.org or a local address? Do you have a static IP address from your ISP? is there a router between the computer and the the modem? Sometimes you need to access the router and configure it for remote access.

I am using AT&T(Formally SBC) DSL at home with a 2wire router. My IP does not change, and I am setup for remote access or so I thought I was.
