I will probably be buying a mac mini in the next couple of months to connect to my TV. I will be using it to play dvd's on, and access my media through frontrow. My question is, how long will it be 'til the mini is switched to core 2 duo?

I have a feeling apple may be waiting for iTV, and even HDDVD or BluRay. If so, which will aplle adopt; HDDVD or BluRay?

OR is apple completely re-designing it?

Also, dos the current mac mini have a HDMI output?

Cheers,

Tom

Well, since it's the last model left that doesn't have a C2D, probably as soon as MacWorld and no later than a month or two? But your guess is as good as anyone's...

Apple has stated they're firmly behinf BluRay, but that doesn't mean they won't have dual support.

Nope...

You can just buy a DVI to HDMI adapter, if your TV only has HDMI.

I would bet on them taking blu-ray, but don't wait for that. It will first be in the Mini in around a year or even later.
