macOS Core Data app w/out Document based app

Hi,

I'd like to know is it possible to create Core data app w/out using Document based application? I don't want to create multiple instances of the document like iWork for example.I want to create only one instance of the model.

Additional question: When using Document based function on close the App automatically ask you to save data as binary/sqlite/xml.

W/out using Document based function how can i save the DB?Without requiring the user interaction.
