Should i up grade to core i7 for video editing for and photo editing or keep core i5 not sure.

  • 2TB Fusion Drive1
  • AMD Radeon R9 M395 with 2GB video memory
  • Retina 5K 5120-by-2880 P3 display
 
I upgraded the video card, but stayed with the faster i5 because i do limited video editing. Also went with SSD over Fusion. Most of my computer work revolves around photography. I would do the i7 if you are heavy into video...

. The i7 has 8 virtual cores -- programs like Adobe Media encoder use them all. Also suggest the 512 SSD. If you do heavy effects work and a lot of color correction, you'll want a better video card as well.
