They probably do. Mine did and I'm typing my reply on it. ;) Just call ahead to see if they have one.

Here in the US they are available in the store. I purchased mine in the Apple Store at Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa Oklahoma.

Stock will probably vary by store, you could just call before you go.

It depends. I went to my store and asked if they had it; they didn't, so I ordered it online a few days later. Later that day I was near the store so I swung by and they did have some in stock, so I took it home that day.

Anyone know if the Apple Store has stock of the Core i7 version of the 13" MacBook Air? or is it custom order?

If they have them, anyone know if they're readily available?

I think most Apple stores carry both versions. One store in my area told me they sell out of MBA's everyday. I'd call and ask to see if its in stock then head over.

I just picked one up Friday night after work from the Apple store near me.

The Reston and Tysons ones in Northern VA did. But to get the Core i7 you have to go ultimate, which means the 256 SSD as well.

Even in the Apple Online Store you can only get the 128GB with the i5.

It's seems odd that the only i7 model is the 256GB one.

The 11" actually has more configurations for some odd reason.

I had to call a few Apple Stores to see if they had any in stock, luckily i picked up the 13" ultimate in an Apple Store in Frisco Texas.

Scottsdale, AZ store had them, but only if you bought the Ultimate model (i7 + 256SSD).

Me, I got the 11" Ultimate, but my friend got the 13" Ultimate. Both perform the same, but his does run a bit cooler and gets better battery life. So, if you've got the cash, you can pick one up at an Apple store.

For such a thin chassis, and considering it's a ULV processor, I am incredibly impressed by the i7's performance. And this is compared to a top spec'd MacBook Pro from 2 years ago.

It is actually on par with MBP from ... 1 year ago :)
