Corel Painter X3 or 2015 on iMac Retina

I'm an artist, use Corel Painter X3 and 2015 on old 2008 iMac and expect to receive retina iMac next week. I wonder if any fellow painter already has experience using Corel Painter on new iMac, how the brushes behave, how fast are they, any problems with Particle Brushes? If you use ArtRage or any other painting program - what's your impression? Is new iMac worth the expense for an artist?
