Hi -

I have a mid 2010 21.5 inch iMac and my harddrive is failing and I'm looking for a new one to put in. This might be super basic of me but can anyone please tell me which specific hard drive type/format I would need? I am just looking for a cheap 500gp replacement.

Thanks!

How do you know it's failing?

Its performance over the last 3 months + disk utility.

That machine uses a standard desktop 3.5" SATA 7,200 RPM drive. Nothing special about. Just grab whatever you can find on sale.
