The problem with the speaker imbalance can be corrected using the Audio/Midi Setup. However, this doesn't completely fix the problem since as soon as you alter the speaker level via the keyboard, the changes are lost.

For instance, the above settings give me pretty much perfect balance, but when i hit the speaker up/down key, the levels return to being identical to each other, i.e. the speakers become unbalanced again. Is there any way to store the speaker settings so that this doesn't happen?
