Hello All- I discovered that I have some corrosion on the chip at the bottom of my phone (where I plug the charger into the phone..hook usb cord into for computer). Does anyone have any ideas for getting this corrosion off? Cleaners etc??? Thanks for help!

this is absolutely normal on all iphones. take it to apple and they should replace it or fix/clean it for you.

Cleaning Charge Port

Just take Isopropyl Alcohol 91%, you can get it at Walgreens/CVS.

Use a Toothbrush, make sure it is clean and does not have any water. Dip in Alcohol & then clean the charge port with the brush. Let it dry for 30 minutes.

If the above does not work then you may need to change the charge port. Seek professional advice as you may damage the board.

You should be good now.
