Someone please respond, I dunno what's wrong....

Okay, so my iPod Touch has been having one pretty annoying problem lately. There is a 650MB space that is labeled as "other" in my breakdown of what the space being taken up. I know some of it is definitely applications that I've installed, and the NES ROMs I put on there, but there is no way this much space can be taken up with just that small amount of stuff. It seems like every time I sync the Touch with my computer, the "dead space" grows larger. Is there a fix or at least an explanation for this?
